Are you a high school student interested in the aviation industry? Are you thinking about a future career path in the commercial aviation field?
If you are a full-time high school student who currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, here is an exciting program you don’t want to miss.
Cathay Pacific I Can Fly USA Program is now open for applications. It is an 8-week Academy for high school students who are interested in learning about different career opportunities in aviation. The program offers a series of lectures, field trips, and hands-on exercises so participants can gain valuable insights about the various jobs in the field. The topics include marketing, airport, catering, cabin crew, engineering, sales, and pilot. This is an unique and adventurous opportunity for students to learn about the airline and travel industry from the professionals.
The program is now accepting applications until September 30th, 2013 and participation is free-of-charge. You do not need to have any aviation experience in order to apply. However, you must be passionate about the aviation and travel industry and have experience in areas to demonstrate your enthusiasm. All applicants must meet the following requirements:
You must be in GRADE 11 or 12 at the time of application in order to be eligible for the program.
Students will need to have officially recognized photo ID such as a passport, driver’s licence or Permanent Resident Card.
Classes will be held from October through December on Wednesdays (except Tuesday, 26 Nov), between 5:00 and 7:00pm. Locations include San Francisco International Airport (SFO) & within downtown San Francisco.
